Sending Funds to Prisoners
If you wish to send funds to a prisoner via the postal system, this must be done either by cheque or postal order. It must be made payable to G4S Care and Justice Services UK LTD. You must also write your name and address on the back of the cheque or postal order including the prisoner name and prisoner number. Monies received without these details will not be processed.
Please note prisoners cannot receive funds anonymously, all postal order or cheques without senders details on with not be accepted or credited.
Please note that HMP Oakwood does not accept cash through the postal system. Any cash sent in will not be credited and will be returned to sender.
HMP Oakwood also offers the service to bring the postal orders or cheque to the Family Pathway Centre who will hand it direct to the Finance Department on your behalf to save you putting them in the post.
Secure Payments Service
HMP Oakwood also operates a “Secure Payment Service”. This allows you deposit monies direct into the prison bank account for funds to be made available to the prisoner, whilst reducing the amount of time before the funds clear.
